Teacher Support
In addition to teaching computer classes I worked with teachers and assisted them in learning to use their classroom technology hardware and software tools. Each teacher had a laptop and an iPad for administrative use, and classrooms in grades 1-5 also had 4-5 desktop computers. We expanded our mobile labs with MacBook Airs and Chromebooks with a goal of reaching a 2:1 ratio (2 classrooms will share 1 mobile lab of laptops). Kindergarten classrooms had 10 iPads and 1-5 classrooms had 5 iPads each.
Classrooms were set up with a projector and an Elmo with a control station that allowed teachers to quickly switch between devices to project. All Apple devices were able to project using AirPlay and AppleTV.
We were a Google Suite School and all students in grades 1-5 had Google accounts. We used Google Suites to work collaboratively as a staff and also for our students to be able to work collaboratively.
Technology Training (on demand voluntary trainings)
